Abstract

The alarm component is used for anti-theft purposes and can be detected in a detecting zone incorporated in the goods alarm. A substance (11) is detectable by the goods alarm, and can be carried and spread by means of air. It is emitted from the alarm component (1) on damage and the alarm is arranged to be activated when detection occurs. - The alarm component incorporates at least one preferably fragile container part (6,7) in which the substance is contained. The alarm component comprises a first part (6) with a needle-shaped part (9) which is pushed through a part of the goods and inserted and retained in a second part (7). The alarm component is fixed to the goods so that it cannot be removed in an unauthorised manner. The substance is contained in the needle-shaped part and/or in the first part (6). The damage enables a detectable part (7) of the alarm component to be removed from the goods (2).
