Abstract

The invention relates to a rotating cutting tool for recessing a work piece (5) of wood or similar material to create plane sides (6, 7, 8) in the recess with a predetermined angle Q in relation to each other. The rotating cutting tool consists of a cone (1) which rotates around its shaft with an angle W in the cone apex which has a predetermined relationship to the angle Q between the intended surfaces (6, 7, 8). The invention also includes a method for producing recesses by means of the rotating cutting tool according to the invention.
