Abstract

An electric power line includes at least two live conductors (1, 2) which have mutually interdependent capacitances (C) and means for reducing radiation of high frequency electromagnetic fields from the line. The means comprises supplementary longitudinal inductances (L) in the conductors. The supplementary inductances (L) are chosen and positioned to form together with the capacitances (C) a series of barrier filters (S) along the line for frequencies higher than the base frequency of the line distribution voltage. The invention also relates to a method of providing a power line in which the conductors are supplemented with longitudinal inductances to form a series of barrier filters.
