Abstract

A control system for a fuel fired heater for a vehicle has an improved data store to cover all the functions of the heating. A main store (3) holds the programs which control the operation of the heating system. A fault analysis store (4) stores data if the system is faulty to enable electronic diagnosis of the system to be obtained. A further store (5) holds specified data relating to user requirements. The data store is programmed via a diagnostic control and is read via a second diagnostic control. A clocking circuit controls the time operation of the system. The system monitors voltages, heating effect, operation of flame monitor, burn conditions etc. ADVANTAGE - Full automatic heating system, programmable to suit individual requirements, simple failure analysis.
