Abstract

The invention relates to a heat storage means comprising a heat-storing body (1) one surface of which forms a contact surface with a heat transfer fluid. To provide an inexpensive heat storage means with a high heat-storing capacity with respect its volume and in order that the heat storage means would resist oxidation at high temperatures, the heat-storing body comprises a core (2 to 5) of steel, and an alloy of good heat resistance is sprayed on that portion of the steel core surface which is exposed to oxidizing ambient conditions.
