Abstract

A cap 1, which is intended to seal the one end of a lubricant cartridge, has a radial base plate 2 and an axial and circumferential flange 4 emanating from the periphery of the said base plate. According to the invention, that edge of the flange 4 facing away from the base plate is adjoined by a radial bridge 6, which bridge is of very thin configuration and is adjoined by an axial outer flange 7, which is situated concentrically directly before and outside the first-named flange. The outer flange 7 is provided with at least one axial cut or groove 9;12 and with a gripping member 10,11 for tear-off along the bridge 6 as the tear-off zone. In connection with the tearing-off of the outer flange, the cap, with base plate 2 and inner flange 4, serves as a ram when lubricant is fed out by means of a known feed-out device. <IMAGE>
