Abstract

The second (2) of the two profiles to be connected has a longitudinal, laterally open channel (4) which issues at one end of it. The coupling connection consists of an eccentric component (9) and a U-shaped lock clip (10). The arms (10a,10b) of the lock clip define, between them, a hollow space (11) in which the eccentric (9) is accommodated. The eccentric rotates in the hollow space to press the arms apart. Each arm has an external track (14) in the vicinity of its free end, and extending transversally over the arm. The arms can be inserted in the channel (3) of the first profile (1) to a position in which the flanges (5,6) and track (14), on rotation of the eccentric, are made to engage one another to fix the lock on the first of the two components. The body part (10c) of the lock inserts in the channel of the second component to be joined. Insertion is from one end of the channel and causes the lock to be fixed there.
