Abstract

Device for an installation unit for an electrical installation where one or more insulated cables are to be connected to the installation unit, which cables must first be stripped of insulation. The device comprises a projecting preferably plate-shaped part 4 provided with a notch 5 which opens outwards and tapers to a narrow inner part and which is chamfered from one side to the other side of the projecting part 4. This provides two relatively sharp edges arranged to cut into the insulation of a cable which is pressed into the notch 5. This device makes possible simple stripping of insulation without the installer being required to use any tool. <IMAGE>
