Abstract

A connector box (1) constructed to enable at least one electrical connection element (2) to be inserted and releasably held in the box. The connector box is mainly characterized in that a pivotally mounted locking lip (5) can be swung to one side from a first position by the connection element (2) when inserted into the box, and in a second position, locking position, has a locking effect on the connection element (2) such as to prevent its withdrawal from the box. The locking lip can be moved from its locking position by rotating the lip in the same direction as that rotated thereby when inserting the element (2), wherein the element is released and can be withdrawn from the box when the angle between the normal direction of the surface of the element at the abutment position (6) of the locking lip on one hand and a line (L) between the abutment position (6) and the pivot centre of the locking lip on the other hand is selected so as to achieve self-locking.
