Abstract

A device for compressing the packing pieces (2) located in a frame (1), in order to form especially fire-resistant cable bushings, consisting of an intermediate element (5) constructed with mutually facing, inclined surfaces (6a, 6b), and of at least one wedge element (8) which is assigned thereto and is adjustable with respect to the intermediate element (5) by means of at least one tensioning screw (13), as a result of which the compression of the packing pieces (2) is produced. In this case, the intermediate element (5) is constructed with only a single pair of mutually opposite inclined surfaces (6a, 6b) to which one wedge element (8) is assigned, an opposing plate (20) with a hole (21) for the tightening screw (13) being arranged on that side surface of the intermediate element (5) which faces away from the inclined surfaces (6a, 6b). <IMAGE>
