Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for stiffening saw blades, in particular circular saw blades, between rollers 7, 8 which are pressed against one another. The method comprises the forming of a discontinuous groove or grooves in a saw blade 1 by rollers 7, 8. At least one of the rollers has recesses 9 of desired configuration at its rim. The device comprises at least one pair of rollers 7, 8. Here, at least one roller 7 of the rollers of the roller pair is provided with recesses 9 of desired configuration which are provided at the periphery in a desired arrangement. <IMAGE>
