Abstract

The height of the limiting plate (4) on at least one long side (3) of the mattress support base (2) extends half way up to the top of the mattress (1). An elastically pliable profile (6) of foam plastic with a density between 20 and 60 g/dm3 and with a height corresp. to the thickness of the water-filled mattress (1) isplaced between the limiting plate (4) and the mattress. - The profile has one part (6a) extending over the limiting plate, and another (6b) extending below the mattress. The mattress has a part (1a) projecting above the profile, and the latter is encased in a soft but strong surface sheet (8) extending some way beneath the mattress. The profile upper part projects to connect with the side edge, and a self-adhesive arrangement (10) is provided on its lower part.
