Abstract

A device for turning screw caps and the like comprises an arm 10 and a grip member 11 which is held securely by the arm and which is intended to be made to bear against the screw cap 13. The grip member consists of an elongate flexible element 11 which is intended to be engaged around the screw cap 13, and the arm 10 is intended to hold the ends of the flexible element during the turning operation so that they cannot slide. The arm 10 is provided with a projecting surface 21 against which part of the flexible element bears during the turning operation and which is intended to press the flexible element against the screw cap during turning. The arm 10 preferably consists of a hollow profile and the ends of the grip member can easily be moved into the hollow profile when no turning operation is in progress. In this way, the grip member can be easily adapted to different sizes of screw caps. <IMAGE>
