Abstract

At least two support structures (6, 7) hold the control rod (3) at a predetermined height above the reference plane (2), and the control gap is formed between a contour line in the rod and reference plane extending parallel to the reference plane and above it. The support structures have a number of surfaces located at differing distances from the contour line. The control rod together with the support structures forms a loose unit in relation to the reference plane, enabling the rod to be placed on the plane with the two support surfaces valid for the width of the control gap locating on the plane. The object to be measured is electrically conductive, as are the reference plane and the control rod.
