Abstract

The filter seat (10) pref. releasably supports the filter housing by means of a connection (36) on the latter. The seat outer periphery is U-shaped in cross-section, with peripheral outwardly directed arms (20,22) which between them form the track (16) accommodating the face protection edge part (14). A lock ring (24) is connected to the edge of one of the arms, and partly closes the opening in the face protection limiting edge part in fixing it in the track (16). It is connected to the edge of one (20) of the arms by a snap lock. On its periphery, the lock ring has an outwardly directed flange which, together with an opposing part of the face protection edge section, forms a U-shaped track to accommodate a hose forming part of a drinking arrangement in the mask, when this hose is in its inactive position.
