Abstract

A dog-equipped conveyor, primarily intended for the transport of timber pieces in a sawmill and comprising metal chains to which the dogs are fastened and essentially U-shaped metal guide grooves in which the chains run. According to the invention, each dog 2 is arranged to support the chain 1 in the U-shaped guide groove 3 so that the chain does not have direct contact with the surfaces of the guide groove, and the dog 2 is configured in a softer material than the guide groove 3, preferably a strong-wearing plastics material. <IMAGE>
