Abstract

The packing case e.g. for machine parts has four separate sides (2,3) and rigid bottom and lid (6) panels. Two opposite sides at least have double flanges (9) at the bottom forming holding devices which fit over the edges of the bottom panel, to prevent it falling out or pressing upwards. They also have, together with one of the other sides (3), single flanges at the top forming supporting faces for the lid. - The remaining side has a double flange fitting over the lid edge. A bar (11) fitted over the middle of the side (3) forms a locking device preventing the lid from moving from the shut position.
