Motor vehicle seat with a seat frame (11) whose front edge (14) and whose rear edge (15) can be vertically adjusted independently of one another with a single actuation lever (43) which is arranged on the side, all the functional parts of the vertical adjustment device (12, 13) being integrated in the seat rails (16, 17) so that a simple structure is produced and the space under the seat remains largely free. <IMAGE>
