Abstract

An animal feed dispensing system for dealing out feed to cattle, preferably slaughter pigs, in which a feed conveyer (3) is adapted to convey feed from a feed container (2) to feed dispensing means (4) comprising a feed discharge tube through which the feed is to be dealt out to the cattle. To permit that feed dispensing systems having feed boxes (29) and associated dosing tubes (13, 14) may be utilized, without necessitating comprehensive reconstruction work, in order to grant cattle free access to feed, the feed discharge tube (15) is a tube (15) which is connected to dosing tubes (13, 14) for feed boxes and which is arranged to be opened by the cattle to grant them access to the feed therein.
