Abstract

An arrangement in a slot valve of the kind comprising a valve flap (1) that is movable perpendicularly to a slot shaped vent (2) in a structural element (3). With this arrangement valve flap (1) is supported by compression springs (5) or the like at both ends (4) and at a certain distance from the slot shaped vent (2), and at both said ends (4) a holding member (6) is fixed independently from said valve flap (1) and inter alia, comprises a spring arm (7), provided in a suitable recess (13) in the end portions of said valve flap. Said spring arm (7) is, provided with notches (8, 9) for cooperation with the surface of said valve flap (1) surrounding said recess, for holding said valve flap (1) in a locked or an open position by engagement. <IMAGE>
