Abstract
The operating device contains an insulating tube (2), a coil (9) which surrounds the insulating tube (2), and a slotted tubular armature (13) which is fitted in the insulating tube (2) such that it can be displaced. The armature (13) supports a peg (16) for controlling the contact, whose condition is intended to depend on the intensity of the current flowing through the coil (9). The armature (13) is continuously pressed into its quiescent position by a spring (26). As soon as the response threshold in the coil (9) is exceeded, the magnetic force exerted on the armature (13) is sufficient to displace the armature (13) into its energised position, against the influence of the spring (26). The armature (13) and the peg (16) are produced from a single sheet-metal blank whose rectangular part (113) is bent in a round manner in order to form the side wall. The invention is used to simplify production. <IMAGE>
