Abstract

The base support assembly (1) is for furniture required to be maintained at a distance from the floor, and has two spaced columns (2). To the one end of the columns are attached holders (3). To the other ends are connected wings (4), and between the columns is a brace (5). - The holders and the wings are attached to the columns by a fixture passing through them. This fixture has two separate parts, i.e. a connection union, such as a rod or a stirrup, and a gripper (15) such as a screw (17), bolt or nut (18). The gripper is placed into engagement with the connection union. The brace is accommodated in recesses (10) in the columns.(1)
