Abstract

The fish hook protection device comprises a body (1) fitted on a hook shaft (6) provided with a fixture ring (7). From the body extends an integral elastic, pliant arm (2) which locates against the hook barb (3). The body has a through hole (8) and an upwardly projecting part (4) with a side extension (5). The extension projects at least partly over the body hole at a distance from it, so that in conjunction with a ring threaded through that for fixture on the hook shaft, it holds the protection in the operative position on the body. A slot (9) connects to the hole and issues on the main body exterior to enable the shaft to be inserted transversely in the hole.
