Abstract

The invention relates to the breaking-up of various hard materials and rocks. The compressed-air machine contains a handle housing (1), in the interior of which an impact device is located. The latter has an impact member (3) which periodically applies blows to the shank end (4) of a working tool (5). The shank end (4) interacts with the holder (6') of the working tool (5). The holder (6') is enclosed by a casing (8) arranged on the handle housing (1). The machine also contains a sleeve (9) which is rotatable with the handle housing (1) and is axially displaceable relative to the latter to a limited extent but is connected to the casing (8) in an axially displaceable manner. In addition, the sleeve (9) is connected to the holder (6') of the working tool (5) for common rotation. The holder (6') is attached to the tube (2) in an axially displaceable manner and interacts with an elastic element (7) accommodated in the casing (8). The bottom part of the casing (8) is in contact with the working tool (5) by means of a profiled spring (16). The invention can be effectively used in various industrial fields which are associated with the protection of the operating personnel against vibration loads occurring during the control of this machine. <IMAGE>
