Abstract

A servo assembly comprises a cylinder (1) having a through-going piston rod (11) which supports a piston (14) dividing the cylinder (1) into a first and a second cylinder space (15, 16). The piston rod (11) is provided with a bore (20) which communicates with the two cylinder spaces (15, 16) through radial openings (30, 31) in the wall of the piston rod and a passage (32) therein, thus permitting fluid pressure medium from one space (15) to flow into the other space (16). The bore (20) includes a valve slide (24) by means of which the flow through the opening (30) may be throttled, so that a pressure difference may arise across the piston (14) and an operating force be obtained on the piston rod (11). Use of the servo assembly for vehicular braking systems is disclosed. <IMAGE>
