Abstract

The governing system is for ensuring a required relationship between a flow of liquid fuel fed to a vaporising combustion chamber (1), and air supplied to the chamber by a fan (2). The fuel is supplied from a tank (12) maintained under oressure, produced by the air flow between the fan and the combustion chamber. At a given combustion chamber load, the required fuel-to-air ratio can be achieved by throttling (16) the fuel line (7) between the tank and the chamber. A variation in air flow produces a proportional alteration of the pressure in the fuel tank, and thus of the fuel flow.
