Abstract

Compounds having cytostatic, hypotensive and analgesic activity of the formula <IMAGE> in which: R<1> represents <IMAGE> in which X represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, hydroxyaryl or arylalkyl group, R<2> represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl or aryl group or R<1>, R<3> and R<4> independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or aryl group or R<3> and R<4> together represent <IMAGE> in which R<5>, R<6>, R<7> and R<8> independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or aryl group, or R<5> and R<6> together may form =O in which case R<8> may represent <IMAGE> in which R<9> and R<10> independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or aryl group maybe prepared by reaction in aqueous media of: (a) an aldehyde or ketone of the formula: <IMAGE> and (b) an enediol of the formula: <IMAGE>
