Abstract

The gripping members are fastened to two discs which are arranged on a pin and can be rotated towards one another by a mechanism. Via a lever transmission, this rotary movement is derived from a longitudinal movement transmitted from the manipulator to the gripper. A type of construction of such a gripper which is closed to the outside and compact as well is obtained by a longitudinally movable yoke (4) which at least partly encloses the pin (11) being arranged between the discs (8), and by each disc (8) being coupled to the yoke (4) via a driver (6, 7) acting in the direction of rotation. <IMAGE>
