Description

460 015 10 15 20 25 or more simply by forming the pads on a rotating suction cup. drum.

Such a suction drum is essentially a hollow cylinder, the interior is under vacuum and whose mantle surfaces have depth corresponding to the desired shape of the absorbent the bering pillow. The bottoms of the mold depressions are similar. designed and is in an air-conducting connection with the suction the interior of the drum.

The fibrous material, for the most part consisting of suitable when finely divided cellulose is carried out by means of an air stream over the upper surface of the suction drum and sucked into the saddle-like the bottoms of the bottom depressions and finally fills up these. excessly sucked in fibrous material is combed in an closing operations of, for example, by means of rotary drilling star, and thus an absorbent pad is formed, which in shape and size correspond to the mold depressions in the mantle surface of the suction drum.

The absorbent pads produced in this way possess however, only such a large absorption capacity for physical liquids predetermined by the amount of cellulosic fibers used.

The invention is therefore the basis of the invention to propose a method for producing absorbent cushions consisting of fibrous materials intended for the absorption of body fluids. In particular, the method is intended for production of body-shaped absorbent pads for sanitary napkins or the like, which have a core, consisting of superabsorbent berande material. J The basis of the invention is furthermore to provide one device for carrying out this method.

The first-mentioned object of the invention is thereby solved that in areas lying in the direction of rotation after each other the suction drum is fed at the same time: (a) in the first area: a first quantity of fibrous material, which is not sufficient to complete the the depressions completely (b) in the second zone: superabsorbent material (c) in the third area: a second quantity of fibrous material, which is sufficient to fill the depth of completely.

The second part of the object of the invention is solved by using turning of a suction drum, against whose mantle surface three stations working in the direction of rotation of the suction drum arranged according to others, namely: a) a first station for laying fibrous material b) a station for applying superabsorbent material c) a second station for laying fibrous material.

In order to be able to produce absorbent material with such a device cushions, the fibrous layers of which have different properties, for example a close-fitting layer with good conductivity and one from the body further away lying layers with absorbency for body fluids, is in the further development of the invention provided that a separate fiber mill is assigned to each of the two fiber material loading stations.

The advantage achieved by the invention consists primarily in being able to use one for the production of single-layer, body-shaped absorbent pads already proven device and from now on also be able to use this device for the production of absorbent pads, which are da 'in several layers and_which have a core of superabsorbent- n material. 460 015 10 15 20 25 30 In the following, an exemplary embodiment of the invention described in more detail with the aid of the accompanying drawing.

The figure shows a schematic drawing of a device for carrying out the method according to the invention.

The method according to the invention for the preparation of body rich shaped absorbent pads, which have a core consisting of of superabsorbent material, essentially consists of that in movable recesses apply a first layer of fi- berm material, to then apply or sprinkle on a layer of superabsorbent material and finally completely laid the mold depressions with fibrous material.

How this is done in detail will be described in more detail below. vase guided by a device for carrying it out method.

Utanför suglà- dan 3 råder i sugtrummans inre normalt atmosfäriskt tryck. The core of the device is a suction cylinder designed as a hollow cylinder. drum 1, which in its mantle surface has recesses 2 with the shape of the finished absorbent pads. Bott- the shapes of these recesses are similarly designed and is in air-conducting connection with one in the suction drum 1 internally arranged suction drawer 3. The suction drawer 3 is by means of a pipeline 4 connected to an undrawn vacuum source. Outside suglà- day 3 prevails in the inner normal atmospheric pressure of the suction drum.

Dessa sta- tioner är utformade som voluminösa rörledningar, genom vilka cellstoff-fibrer ledes fram medelst en luftström till mantel- ytan.pá sugtrumman 1 och därmed till formfördjupningarna 2.Adjacent to the mantle surface of the suction drum 1 are two stations 5 and 6 arranged to lay on fibrous material. These states are designed as bulky pipelines, through which cellulosic fibers are conveyed by means of an air stream to the jacket the surface.on the suction drum 1 and thus to the mold depressions 2.

The cellulosic fibers are recovered by a hint only here. mill 7 drawn from an endless cell of steel 8. An approximate fan 9 arranged on the mill 7 produces the required the air flow in order to lead the fibers to the stations 5 and 6. k 10 15 460 015 -The division of the fiber stream into two substreams takes place at one fiber stream splitter 10, which is divided into the ratio is optionally adjustable by means of a non drawn swivel flap. 1 Between the laying stations 5 and 6 there is a recess, in which the mantle surface of the suction drum 1 is accessible. There's one station 17 arranged for the application of superabsorbent material terial, here manufactured as a device for sprinkling on powder or granules.

After the second station 6 for applying fibrous material a combing device 11 is provided, which by means of removing brushes 12 from the mold recesses 2 are removed. projecting fibrous material and over a pipeline 13 on new adds it to the fan 9 for reuse.

The completed absorbent pads 14 are retrieved by one suction roller 15 from the mold depressions 2 on the suction drum 1 and passed over a conveyor belt 16 for further processing.
