Abstract

A copy paper to be used with a sheet adapted by an acceptor layer to accept the coloured reproducing layer when the sheets are placed in contact and written upon comprises a carrier sheet and has on one side a donor layer comprising tannic acid as the sole binding agent and fixative, a non-volatile plasticizer for the tannic acid, an inorganic filler and a pigment. The donor layer may also contain a material that softens the layer but does not dissolve the tannic acid, e.g. castor oil or ricinoleic acid, or a magnetic or magnetizable material so that copies made from it can be read by machines with magnetic or electric sensing heads. The plasticizers, fillers and pigments used may be the same as in the parent specification.
