The patent claims: Device for cleaning uneven edges on printed matter such as newspapers, magazines and the like, which after printing, folding and adhering a conveyor belt are transferred to a collection stall and next to which conveyor belt the cutting device is arranged and provided with a pair of of cooperating knives, one of which is placed over and the other is placed under the transport plane of the track and which knives are separately stored thereon and thereby drivably connected to pairs of arranged cranks, characterized by the fact that both the upper knife and the lower knives' cranks are stored in a and the same and thereby a unit of the interlocking knives providing housing, which in an effective position extends above and below the transport plane of the track and in which housing itr interlocked gears for driving the cranks, and the housing is displaceable in the direction of and -from the transport path and has an input drive shaft connected to the gears, which is axially offset tbart connected with a. stationary drive device.
