Abstract

In a method of improving illumination rearwards of a vehicle having external work light that is turned on by closure of a work light switch when ignition of the vehicle is on, at least one of state of the parking brake of the vehicle and vehicle speed is sensed, and the reverse light of the vehicle is turned on if the parking brake is engaged and the speed is zero, respectively, upon closure of the work light switch.
