Abstract

The electrically controlled life-saving equipment (1) is for a diver and involves a micro-computer filling the suit (4) of an unconscious diver with air after breathing (3) has stopped for a predetermined period, causing the diver to be brought to the surface. The diver breathing is monitored, pressure variations being recorded after a first regulatory stage. - The equipment is connected in the air hoses to/from a low pressure inflator. On automatic inflation of the suit of the diver, the equipment controls the air flow from the first regulatory stage past the low pressure inflator directly to the suit of the diver. Automatic inflation is preceded by an acoustic warning alarm.
