Abstract

A biocompatible polymer composition (I) for an article having a surface intended to contact blood, tissue, skin, epithelial layers, wounds, cells in culture fluids, body fluids, dialysis fluids and/or therapeutic fluids for removal or infusion, comprises a bismuth complex so that the composition comprises 0.001-0-5 (preferably 0.002-0.08) wt.% of bismuth. - Independent claims are also included for: - (1) preparation of (I); and - (2) an article having a surface intended to contact, blood, tissue, skin, epithelial layers, wounds, cells in culture fluids, body fluids, dialysis fluids and/or therapeutic fluids for removal or infusion which is covered with at least one film of the new polymer composition.
