Abstract

The trailer (4) comprises a chassis with a load surface (10) supported by a wheel axle unit (7) incorporating a wheel (8) on each side of the trailer. A towbar (6) is connected with the chassis and has a front end coupling (5) for connection rotatably to a towing hook (3) on a tractive vehicle (2). The towbar with a rear end part is connected to the chassis via an articulation (12) which permits pivoting of the towbar around a vertical axis. A releasable union retains the towbar relatively to the chassis in a position in which the towbar coupling is located on the trailer longitudinal central line. The towbar articulation is located at a distance from the trailer longitudinal central line, permitting the trailer to pivot outwards in the horizontal plane when the tractive vehicle travels forwards or backwards and the union is opened.
