Abstract

The coupling comprises a housing (4) with an axial through-flow channel (6) and an opening (12) in one end for receiving part of a pipe (8) with an external peripheral ring bead (10). This end of the casing contains a locking bracket (14) which can be moved in the casing cross-direction into a pipe holding position when the pipe is inserted into the through-flow channel. A locking sleeve (20) on the outside of the casing is operated by a clamping device (22) and can be moved in an axial direction so that it encloses the locking bracket and fixes it into the pipe holding position.
