Abstract

The control system (9) is connected via an interface (19) to an auxiliary memory (18) which is controllable and programmable by the user. Programs for certain operation cases can be inputted via the internet. Gear data such as gear points and the number of gear steps are determined for each gear condition by a control system, based on current driving parameters. The control system determines gear data with the aid of modified control data inputted by a user. An Independent claim is also included for (a) a vehicle fitted with this device.
