Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of milking an animal comprising the following steps: drawing milk from the teats of said animal, separating the milk depending on the time of day or night, and collecting the separated milk. Preferably, the animal is identified and the milk is separated also depending on the identification of said animal. Advantageously, the separation of the milk depending on the time of day or night is dependent upon the identification of the animal.
