Abstract
An evaporation-condensation desalination process with a low temperature heat sink, having a lower temperature than the sea water feed. Gasification of liquid natural gas may be utilized to condense evaporated sea water to produce condensate. The condensation-evaporation system is designed to operate with low vapor pressure and high throughput, by adjusting the sizes of the evaporator and condenser, and adding intermediate condensation-evaporation effects. A desalination chamber is provided housing the evaporator, demister and condenser units. Fig. 1
