В учебном исполнении штатное оружие дополнительно содержит вкладной сменный ствол с геометрическим замыканием его с патронником штатного ствола под учебный боеприпас с легкодеформируемой пулей калибром Dу.п. Диаметр канала вкладного ствола выбирают равным 0,6 - 0,8Dу. п. Вкладной ствол снабжен элементами фиксации его от продольных перемещений, выполненных, например, в виде опорного буртика со стороны казенной части вкладного ствола, взаимодействующего с упорным торцем штатного патронника, и гайки, установленной на резьбовом участке дульной части вкладного ствола до упора в дульный торец штатного ствола. Во вкладном стволе могут быть выполнены продольные прорези заданной длины и ширины на заданном расстоянии от казенной части.
