Abstract

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking measurements of electrodermal activity of the palms prior to and after the therapy seance. The EDA asymmetry factor is calculated, and the initial value and dynamics of this factor are indicative of therapy efficacy. The factor changes accounting for 30% or more and less than 30% suggest that the treatment will be effective or ineffective respectively. EFFECT: simpler and more reliable method.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to medicine, namely to narcology, and can be used to predict the effectiveness of one of the methods of treating chronic alcoholism in folk (traditional) medicine - psycho-therapy, which is the purpose of the invention. The essence of the invention: the electrodermal activity of the palms is measured at rest, and after a trial session of psycho-therapy, the asymmetry coefficient of EDA is calculated, and the effectiveness of psycho-therapy is judged by its initial level and dynamics of the coefficient of asymmetry. If the change in the asymmetry coefficient of the electrodermal activity of the palms after a trial session of psychorhythmotherapy is 30% or more, then they conclude that this method of treatment is appropriate for this patient and will be effective. If the change in the coefficient of asymmetry of electrodermal activity after a trial session is less than 30%, then psychotherapy is not recommended for such a patient due to its likely inefficiency.
