Abstract

FIELD: laying pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: derrick rests on bearing frame and movable platform rests on water craft; it is inclined at angle necessary for laying the pipe line. Derrick is provided with tackle block which moves between open and closed positions for receiving the pipe sections and holding the mass of pipe or pipe line. Tackle block is used for lengthwise motion along the derrick in hoisting or lowering the pipe. Platform is movable between open and closed positions for receiving the pipe section and holding the mass of pipe line; it is located near base of derrick and is designed for transfer of pipe line mass from tackle block to platform without opening the tackle block. Side block provided with adjustable grips is used for gripping the section of pipe line from rack and transferring this section to derrick for connecting it to pipe line. Side block raises over rails. Stringer running from lower end of derrick is provided with grips for holding the pipe line when work is in progress. Main part of stringer may turn upward and adjoin the water craft for laying the pipe line when work is discontinued. EFFECT: enhanced reliability.

Claims (1)

The main part of the stinger can be rotated up and adjacent to the floating means for laying the pipeline when work is stopped.
