Abstract

FIELD: oil processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by treatment of oil distillates with the help of air oxygen, the process takes place at 80-220 C in the presence of heterogeneous catalyst. Said catalyst represents water soluble inorganic salt of copper, iron, nickel or cobalt (its quantity being 0.01-10.0 mass %) on carbon fibrous material. Mentioned above carbon fibrous material contains oxides of calcium, magnesium, copper, manganese, iron, zinc and aluminium, their quantities being up to 0.03 mas. -%. EFFECT: increased degree of oxidation of mercaptans, increased catalytic activity of catalyst.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the oxidative purification of petroleum distillates from mercaptan sulfur and can be used in the oil refining industry for demercaptanization of gasoline, kerosene and diesel fractions. The purpose of the invention is to increase the oxidation state of mercaptans, the stability of the catalytic activity of the catalyst and eliminating the need for alkali. Demercaptanization of petroleum distillates is carried out by treating them with atmospheric oxygen at a temperature of 80 - 220 o C in the presence of 0.01 to 10.0 wt. % water-soluble inorganic salt of copper, iron, nickel and cobalt on a carbon fibrous material in the form of fabric, felt or tow as a heterogeneous catalyst. In this case, carbon fiber material is used with a content of oxides of calcium, magnesium, copper, manganese, iron, zinc and aluminum in an amount up to 0.03 wt.%. The method allows to increase the degree of oxidation of mercaptans in oil distillates by 15 - 35%, to carry out the process without the use of alkali with prolonged use of the used catalyst without reducing its catalytic activity.
