Abstract

FIELD: application of oxide coatings. SUBSTANCE: coating is accomplished due to the effect of cathode-anode electric microdischarges on the surface of metal articles placed in alkaline electrolyte. Use is made of 50-Mz alternating current, having a density of 15.5 to 48.8 A/sq.dm at a ratio of cathode and anode current components within 1.36 to 1.92. EFFECT: considerably reduced power consumption without worsening of coating operating characteristics.

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the field of deposition of oxide coatings by the action of cathodic-anodic electric microdischarges on the surface of metal products located in an alkaline electrolyte. An alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz and a density of 15.5 - 45.8 A / dm 2 is used with a ratio of the cathodic and anodic components of the current of 1.36 - 1.92. The energy consumption of the process is significantly reduced without compromising the performance of the coating.
