The strain of human cell culture HTHIV27-producing human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) was obtained by cloning using the technique of limiting dilution on the feeder layer. The strain possesses stable cultural properties and optimally high persistent production of the virus (in 100% of the cells at the same time) without cellular destruction. The virus produced is highly infectious for sensitive cells. It has a complete representation of proteins in the immunoblock. The strain can be used for a highly sensitive and highly specific diagnostic system for AIDS, for screening antiviral drugs, and also for solving fundamental problems of the pathogenesis of HIV infection.
