The invention relates to medical equipment, and more specifically to ophthalmic devices for measuring the shape of the outer surface of the cornea of the eye. The invention allows to exclude contact of the patient’s face with the device, increase the angle of coverage of the studied area of the cornea to a limit value of 180 o , reduce the overall dimensions and weight of the device and thereby make it possible to use it in the process of performing microsurgical operations. The device is vibration resistant. For this, the keratometer is equipped with a system of coaxial truncated conical mirrors with external and internal mirror conical surfaces, the vertices of which are directed to the lens, in the rear focus of which there is a measuring mark made in the form of an opaque screen with a hole illuminated by a light source. The tilt angles of the generatrix of the mirror conical surfaces are selected so that the beams of elementary parallel rays intersect in the area AB of the cornea, located at a distance from the device at which contact of the patient’s face with the device is excluded. The keratometer lens can be made with zero optical power in the form of an autocollimation afocal system, and conical mirrors can be combined with different angles of inclination to the axis of the generators of the conical surfaces or with a single generatrix.
