The invention relates to metallurgy, and in particular to methods of processing low-carbon low-alloyed steel, and can be used to strengthen large-diameter pipes, sheets, etc. The technical result of the invention is to obtain the structure of "degenerate" perlite (pseudo-eutectoid), which excludes violations of the geometry of the products (for example, in pipes - ovality, in the sheet - non-flatness), as well as improving cold resistance and stability of the mechanical properties without reducing the level of strength and ductility. The essence of the invention is the heat treatment of products, including austenitization at A C3 + (60-100 o C) and cooling at a rate that ensures the preservation of austenite, to a temperature of minimum stability of austenite in the area of ferritoperlitic transformation, which hold. Cooling to a temperature of exposure is carried out with water or in a bath with the specified temperature (50-120 o C). In this case, if the exposure is carried out until complete decomposition of austenite, the final cooling is carried out at an arbitrary rate. If the exposure is carried out to the degree of decomposition of austenite at least 70%, then the final cooling is slow.
