The method relates to the technique of preparing clay and other raw ceramic materials and can be used in ceramic, abrasive, electrical, porcelain and faience industries, as well as in the production of refractory and building materials and reduces the labor intensity, energy consumption and cost of the grinding process, as well as improve rheological properties of clay and raw ceramic materials, exclude dust during their processing. In the method of preparing clay materials for the preparation of ceramic masses, the processed material is subjected to a two-stage drying followed by industrial grinding, crushing or granulation, before the final sifting on the sieves, and in the first stage the processed material is dried at a temperature of 150-200 ° C to a moisture content of 8.0 - 18.0 % followed by promine, crushing or granulating in a grinder-type aggregate with an effective cell diameter of the output grating of 2.0-7.0 mm, and in the second stage the processed material is dried at a temperature of 70-150 ° C d final moisture content of not more than 6.0%, followed by crushing or granulating into a grinder type unit with an effective diameter of the lattice cell output of 2.0 - 15.0 mm.
