Description
The utility model relates to the field of separation of water-oil emulsions, namely, separation into constituent components of emulsions in which oil or any other oil products (oils, gasoline, fuel oil, diesel fuel, etc.) are present as a dispersed phase, and relates to a unit for said separation.
The claimed device can be used for purification and disposal of industrial and wastewater containing a significant amount of oil products for their separation and further processing, and, in particular, for the treatment of waste water intended for recycling, containing emulsified oil products, solids and surface-active substances, as well as in many areas of the national economy, for example, in the oil, oil refining and chemical industries, in sea and river transport: for the treatment of bilge-ballast ship water, in the urban sector: for the treatment of industrial wastes from car washes and gas stations and storm water.
Depending on the conditions of formation, oil-containing wastewater is a polydisperse system from coarse to colloidal, with particle sizes of oil products from 200 to 0.001 μm or less, forming stable and super-resistant water-oil emulsions in which oil particles 5-50 μm in size predominate. The ascent rate of such particles is very low. Intensify the cleaning process by enlarging the size of the droplets of oil particles by coalescence. The coalescence method is the most promising for the intensification of the process of water purification from oil pollution.
(RU 2104736, 20.02.1998).A device for purifying oil-contaminated water is known, comprising a cylindrical body divided by partitions into three chambers, the upper chamber is partially filled with fibrous olephobic material, the middle chamber is filled with fibrous olefilic material, and the lower chamber is equipped with a fiberglass mesh, a piping system is installed in front of the housing, in which placed coalescing material (RU 2104736, 02.20.1998).
It should be noted that the known device is distinguished by large dimensions and weight. Moreover, the separation efficiency of the oil-water emulsion is insufficient.
(RU 2181068, 10.04.2002.).The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a device for the separation of oil-water emulsions - a capillary separator of oil-water emulsions, containing a housing with inlet and outlet nozzles, which houses a coalescing chamber filled with oleophilic granular coalescing material (RU 2181068, 04/10/2002.).
A disadvantage of the known devices is the incomplete separation of the fine particles present in the emulsion, especially in a superstable emulsion.
The technical result of the claimed utility model is to increase the separation efficiency of oil-water emulsions by developing a highly effective composite coalescing material that allows the separation of super-stable emulsions.
The technical result is achieved in that in a capillary separator of water-oil emulsions containing a chamber filled with a coalescing filler, and equipped with an inlet and at least two outlet pipes, a coalescing filler
выполнен из гранул, заполняющих камеру слоями, расположенными перпендикулярно направлению движения эмульсии, первый по ходу движения эмульсии слой выполнен из не смачиваемых водой гранул, последующие слои гранул выполнены из смеси не смачиваемых водой и смачиваемых водой гранул, при этом количество не смачиваемых водой гранул к последнему по ходу движения эмульсии слою постепенно уменьшается до нуля.made of granules filling the chamber with layers perpendicular to the direction of movement of the emulsion, the first layer in the direction of movement of the emulsion is made of granules which are not wettable by water, the subsequent layers of granules are made of a mixture of granules which are not wettable by water and water wetted, while the number of granules which are not wetted by water as the emulsion moves, the layer gradually decreases to zero.
Granules can be made of various shapes, however, they are mainly performed spherical in shape with a diameter of 0.5-10 mm
Each layer of granules can be placed on the corresponding grid, which will avoid the displacement of granules in different layers. In this case, the degree of filling the chamber with the filler may be different, if necessary.
Non-wettable granules can be made of any hydrophobic material, for example, organophilic material, such as polytetrafluoroethylene or polychlorofluoroethylene, or a mixture of granules of these or other materials.
Water-wettable granules can be made of any available hydrophilic material, for example, stainless steel or silicate glass, or a mixture of granules of these or other materials.
In addition, the granules may have the appropriate necessary coating of a hydrophobic or hydrophilic material.
The principle of heterogeneity of the filler composition in the direction of movement of the emulsion is based on the separation of water-oil mixtures. Heterogeneity is achieved due to a certain layer-by-layer method of laying granular filler.
So, for the separation of water and oil emulsions, two types of granules are used as filler: wettable by water (hydrophilic) and wettable by oil (hydrophobic). Granules are stacked in layers:
сначала слой гранул, смачиваемых водой, но отталкивающих нефть, последний слой, где 100% гранул, смачиваемых нефтью.first layer of granules wettable by water but repellent oil, the last layer where 100% of granules wettable by oil.
In the intermediate layers there is a gradual decrease in the content of granules wettable by water and an increase in the content of granules wettable by oil according to an optimized law so that the intermediate layers provide a gradual transition from the first layer to the last.
Example.
To obtain the claimed capillary separator of oil-water emulsions, the chamber is filled with a coalescing filler. To separate water and oil, a filler in the form of granules of two grades is used as a separating medium: wettable by water (hydrophilic) and wettable by oil (hydrophobic). The granules are stacked in layers: first, a layer of 100% granules wetted with water but repellent oil, then a layer of granules where 10% of granules moistened with oil but repellent water, and 90% of granules moistened with water but repellent oil, then a layer where 20% granules wetted by oil but repellent water, and 80% of granules wettable by water and so on, ... a layer where 90% of granules wettable by oil but repellent water, and 10% granules wettable by water and finally a layer where 100 % of granules wetted by oil.
Granules perform mainly spherical shape with a diameter of 0.5-10 mm The spherical shape of the granules of the coalescing filler makes it possible to create the most ideal configuration of the emulsion flow channels, and accordingly, the most favorable coalescence conditions. The spherical shape of the granules and the placement of the filler in a continuous layer ensures the flow of the coalescence process without the formation of secondary emulsification.
To exclude the displacement of the granular filler of one layer into adjacent layers when filling the chamber, nets are placed between the layers on which the granules of the corresponding layer are placed.
Hydrophobic granules are made of organophilic material, such as polytetrafluoroethylene or polychlorofluoroethylene, and hydrophilic granules are made of silicate glass.
The claimed device operates as follows.
Purified water containing emulsified particles of oil passes through an inlet pipe into a chamber filled with a coalescing layer by layer, where it penetrates into a layer made of hydrophobic granules. Here, there is a decrease in the speed of flow and emulsified particles, which, in contact with the first layer, coalesce, coarsen and rise up to collect oil and discharge through the corresponding pipe. Next, water passes through the second and subsequent layers of granular filler, in which the smallest emulsified particles of oil are coalesced. The purified water leaves through the corresponding branch pipe.
Experience has shown that when a water-oil emulsion is fed into such a device, the emulsion is highly efficiently divided into water and oil components. In this case, separation of the superstable emulsion also occurs.
