Description
The invention relates to the technique of projection screens, namely, spherical projection screens, designed to visualize the cockpit environment of flight simulators.
Spherical projection screens provide an extension of the viewing angles of the visualization of the cockpit environment, which is especially important for helicopter simulators.
The use of modern high-resolution projectors places great demands on the uniformity of curvature of a spherical surface, since significant inhomogeneities of curvature become noticeable in the rays of the projector.
The manufacture of large-sized monolithic spherical screens with a uniform curvature of the spherical surface is a complex operation. In addition, difficulties arise with the transportation and installation of monolithic screens. These shortcomings lead to the need to use spherical screens assembled from separate sections.
Known spherical products obtained by assembling flat blanks obtained by scanning the surface of a truncated icosahedron consisting of twelve regular pentagons and twenty equilateral or non-equilateral hexagons (FR 2712195 A1, 05/19/95; RU 2189268 C2, 09/20/2002). However, these products, based on the assembly of flat blanks, do not provide the accuracy of manufacturing a spherical surface required for the projection screen of the simulator.
The closest to the present utility model in terms of technical nature and the achieved result when used is a spherical projection screen assembled from spherical truncated elements (sections) obtained by cutting the spherical surface along the meridians with their subsequent connection into one whole (Screen element, www.3D-Perception .com. January 2003). The dimensions of the elements in height relative to the equator and their total horizontal size are determined by the necessary viewing angles in the vertical and horizontal
The disadvantage of this screen is the need to create a unique tool for manufacturing a screen with different viewing angles in a vertical plane relative to the equator, as well as insufficient rigidity in vibration conditions when the simulator has a mobility system that simulates acceleration effects.
The objective of the utility model is to simplify the manufacture of a spherical projection screen with any desired viewing angles in the vertical plane and with higher technical characteristics.
The technical result achieved by the implementation of this utility model is to unify the sections for manufacturing the screen with any desired viewing angles, as well as to increase the rigidity of the screen structure and to ensure the accuracy of the manufacture of the curvature of the spherical surface of the screen sufficient to visually present the cage environment in the simulator.
The specified technical result is achieved by the fact that in a spherical projection screen composed of spherical sections and covered with reflective material, the sections are made in the form of regular spherical pentagons and hexagons and their truncated elements, which are a cut of a spherical surface within a given screen size with a chord length l between the extreme points of the section edge, determined from the relation:
l=2rcosΘ,l = 2rcosΘ,
где r - радиус сферы, where r is the radius of the sphere,
β=30°,β = 30 °
α=54°α = 54 °
при этом грани секций снабжены соединительными ребрами жесткости.wherein the faces of the sections are provided with connecting stiffeners.
The utility model is illustrated by drawings, which depict:
на фиг.1 - геометрические размеры секций экрана,figure 1 - the geometric dimensions of the sections of the screen,
In figure 1 and figure 2 introduced the notation:
(·) 0 - центр сферы,() 0 - the center of the sphere,
r - радиус сферы;r is the radius of the sphere;
1 - грань секции;1 - section face;
2 - хорда между крайними точками грани секции, l - длина хорды;2 - chord between the extreme points of the section face, l - length of the chord;
3 - ребро жесткости;3 - stiffener;
4 - правильный сферический пятиугольник;4 - regular spherical pentagon;
5 - правильный сферический шестиугольник;5 - regular spherical hexagon;
6 - an additional element.
A spherical projection screen is made as follows. In accordance with the required screen radius, from the relation (1), calculate the chord length 2 between the extreme points of the edge of section 1. Using the given radius r and the obtained value of l, two matrices are made to form regular pentagonal and hexagonal spherical sections. In the manufacture of matrices, the presence of stiffeners 3 on each face of the section and, if necessary, the installation location of mortgages for fasteners are provided. The sections are formed in the form of regular spherical pentagons 4 and hexagons 5 in the amount necessary for the manufacture of a screen with predetermined viewing angles. The screen is assembled along the connecting stiffening ribs 3 and, if necessary, supplement it to a predetermined size due to additional elements 6 obtained by truncating the main sections. Figure 2 shows the screen in assembled form before applying reflective material. Then the working surface of the screen is primed and coated with reflective material. The manufacture of the screen in accordance with this utility model ensures the accuracy of the curvature of the spherical surface of the screen, sufficient for visual representation of the casing environment in the simulator.
The choice of material is determined by the screen size and the requirements for resistance to deformation. For a fixed screen with a radius of 3-4 meters, you can use fiberglass with a thickness of 5 mm or more. For a screen intended for installation on a mobility system, a design consisting of two layers of fiberglass with a polyurethane layer is possible.
The production of the screen with any required size is carried out using two unified sections, which simplifies the screen manufacturing process. Due to the stiffening ribs located in different directions, the required rigidity of the structure, suitable for installation on the mobility system, is achieved.
